That second shot is a black-crowned night heron, right? What a coup, to get such a great photo of one of those seldom seen critters!

Thay are all very cool. js, I think you have a future as a photographer!

I could use another career especially one that involves a camera and nature!

I'm with you. Very few people are actually earning a living by doing what they love doing, so a camera and nature would be a great combination for me too.

I purchased a T-shirt for my artist sister that read "Be An Artist Make $50 a Week" We got a good laugh out of this. I do make photo cards for gifts. I use recycled card stock and envelopes. I once sold hundreds of them to the staff where I worked but haven't tried to sell them here. I loved having pocket money and the appreciation I received for their sale and giving them as gifts.

My buddies went up the hill to put up For Sale signs and the pig jumped into the bed of the truck. We played with him for a while then when a couple of the guys took off they put him back in the truck bed. When they got back to the top of the hill the pig jumped off and trotted away.

If I had a place for a little piggie, I would have one. I think they're so cute and have read they're very smart, loyal and potty-trainable.

Kori I'm with you. This little guy is supposed to be wild but that's pretty hard to believe. The biggest drawback to pigs is they will tear up a lawn or field in a single night. They are grub loving porkers.

Thanks so much for sharing the critters of your neighborhood with us! I love the little upside down parrot. He is precious!

I do hope you are able to get pictures for us of the whales, that would be really cool.

Just wondering if the tree the parrot is hanging upside down in is a pamosia tree?

Wow these are great pictures of unusual (to me anyway) things. Do you know what kind the little yellow bird is? So cute - looks like one of those Easter candy chicks. lols

And that pig - wow he is huge or at least he looks very big to me.

Great critter photos JS! I love the second one. He looks like he's scared to death of that water, but determined to get his toe, er- claw wet.

I live in the desert and while it has its own natural beauty, that ocean is overwhelmingly beautiful! Great pics, thanks!

The desert is very beautiful but I am a water person so I do prefer the ocean. Thanks for taking a look POaksitwithastick.
